Strengthening roles and responsibilities โ Lipa Medix Medical Center (LMMC) affirmed the vital role of Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) through its second multi-topic health forum, held in celebration of Septemberโs health awareness observances, at the MAB Auditorium, September 10, 2026.
100 Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from Lipa Cityโs North District convened in pursuit of uplifting their knowledge in community healthcare. The forum bolstered the BHWs’ role in different health awareness and responsibilities.
Dr. Daphne Jo Valmonte – Panganiban, Radiation Oncologist, highlighted the importance of cancer awareness for BHWs. Similarly, Mr. Charles Catapang, Chief Nurse, discussed the foundations of patient safety. Meanwhile, Dr. Mary Warren Eduardo-Ilaga emphasized understanding epilepsy and alzheimers disease.
The event provided BHWs a chance to raise questions and clarify some health matters they encountered in their local community.
Through this, Lipa Medix Medical Center continues to cement its commitment to providing innovative, quality healthcare and wellness services in Region IV.
